The competition starts here.
With less than two weeks to go until Burger Fest 2019 begins on January 28th, Ireland’s best burger slingers are firing up their grills and getting creative in the kitchen.
Restaurants all over the country will be battling it out once again to be crowned ‘Best Burger in Ireland’ at the end of a sizzling seven-day festival.
With belly-busting events, tastings and demonstrations, the second annual festival, held in association with Ballymaloe Foods, will see entrants in every town and village in Ireland competing to take home the coveted Golden Burger trophy from last year’s winners, the delectable Son of a Bun on Cork’s MacCurtain Street.
Speaking about BurgerFest 2019, Ernest Cantillon, co-founder of FSTVLR and owner of Cork hotspots Electric and Sober Lane said, “As a venue owner myself I know that, rather than drawing in crowds, festivals often take people away from the pubs and restaurants.
“What we want to do is to bring the festival to the venues and drive footfall for them, as well as putting on a great event for the public. Our business model is low cost and low risk, and has proved to be hugely successful.”Participation is €95 per venue and there’s still time to register your business.
